Tradition and innovation
For more than 125 years, the name König has been associated with innovative and reliable products for the repair of surfaces. Now in the fifth generation, we work on the continuous enhancement of our products and offer new and sophisticated solutions for a variety of specific repair tasks. We focus on the long term, not only in our company relations and partnerships but also with regard to our employees. Every member of the staff is held in high esteem. This encourages the personal involvement and a sense of mutual responsibility of every member of our team. König has an unequalled level of experience in dealing with colours, fillers and surface materials.
Being a provider of niche products, we do not deal with mass markets but work closely with the experts in special markets. From this tradition, we maintain the potentials of a medium-sized company – adaptability and dynamic – to operate in an innovative and customer-oriented manner. Thanks to this unique combination of flexibility and longstanding expertise, our products are world leaders. König's company strategy focuses on a sound growth. We consciously set ourselves qualitative targets: to increase the benefit and the quality of our products and also to keep our customers satisfied. Thus, we want to invest in our own sustainability and in our staff. Enjoying our work, together we cope with both big and small challenges – so that both employees and company will continue to grow into the future.
Research and Development: No case is too unusual for us
For some time our main customers in the furniture, kitchen and window industry no longer work exclusively with wood and plastic-coated surfaces. A variety of new materials like HP-foils, HPL, vinyl, stone and also metal and powder coatings have been added with different properties and require specialist repair techniques. Being a link between the manufacturers and the processing industry or rather the trade, we see it as our task to always be one step ahead with new developments. In our R & D department, lacquer and chemical engineers work on new and improved products and carry out different series of tests. Thus, for instance we test new surfaces with regard to their repair capability and give appropriate recommendations to the manufacturers.
